Big Bang @ SciFest (formerly NW SciFest), a one-day science fair which showcases the best of the North West’s young engineering and science talent from our local primary and secondary schools. The event gives students the opportunity to present their STEM projects and compete for some great prizes, including entry into other regional and national science fairs.
Of course it wouldn’t be possible to run science fairs without the support of volunteer judges to assess the projects — and this year, we will need around 45 judges for the Big Bang @ NW SciFest
Please note no prior experience in Science or Engineering or Judging is required.

Here’s what’s required:
  • The event takes place on Friday 6 June at St Mary’s College, Northland Road
  • Judges will be required to be at the school by 9.00 am for a pre-judging briefing session
  • Judging commences at 10 am and will be finished by approximately 2 pm (however judges are very welcome to stay on for the prize-giving at around 3 pm).
If you are interested in volunteering as a judge, please return by email your name and contact details to me (info@stemaware.com) asap, we greatly appreciate your support and help and guarantee a great experience on the day.

Further to being a judge you or your company are welcome to provide a demonstration or information stand on your company, if is STEM related, this will help make the young people aware of the local valuable STEM related industry that they could be part of. Please let me know if you would like to do this.
